by Thomas J. Stanley was written in 2000. Although written many years ago, the principals defined in the book for achieving economic success never change. This book is not a guide to investments so those that do not have an inclination towards investing do not need to be put off! This book outlines the mindset and behaviors of America’s wealthy individuals. The key message in the book is one of personal integrity, self-discipline and social skills. Stanley continues to explain the key to gaining economic success lies not only in working hard but establishing strong inter personal relationships with people, especially a supportive spouse. If one of these critical attributes are missing then it is unlikely that you will be economically successful. A strong self-belief, self-confidence and strong religious faith support the primary attributes. This book has been written on two levels. If you love figures and statistics then you can spend many hours reviewing the tables and charts or if you are like me then you can read the text and come to the same conclusion in half the time! I highly recommend to those that want to build a high net worth over the long term.
